In Memory Of Kim Bodell
"Bonz"
Kim "Bonz" Bodell
Kim and his friend Roger shared numerous adventures on the road. Roger recalls coming back from Dumphries on Route 234 with Kim and about eight other bikers. A teenage boy in a pickup truck pulled into the middle of the pack, separating Kim and Roger from the main group. Kim looked at Roger and nodded. Without any further communication both riders pulled around each side of the moving truck. Kim looked at Roger through the windows of the cab and nodded again. Both men kicked the truck's doors simultaneously. Frightened the teenager badly.
Kim could be empathetic as well. One time, coming back from a turkey shoot hosted by the Sober Tramps Motorcycle Club out at Fossil's place. Kim's friend Roger pulled off Route 3 with a broken clutch cable. Roger was so angry that he took his helmet off and threw it down the road. Kim pulled up and asked Roger with mock seriousness, Does that help? Roger nodded affirmatively, so Kim took his own helmet off and threw it down the road. But Kim's helmet bounced high in the air. Everyone laughed and laughed. Kim later put a band aid on Roger's helmet where it had cracked. . .
